About Us

Hi I’m Aly, the designer behind “lujitos”. This is a new journey I’m exploring in both print/pattern, and
silk expression with the help of my husband Payton (he handles the numbers, & other serious business stuff)

This creative venture was inspired by d.i.y.s following our wedding where I leveraged my skills in illustrator to save us a buck or two.

I wanted our big day to feel personal and really tell our love story so I made scarves that further illustrated our venue, city, and some of our favorite date spots, that was a small momento to give to our bridal party, moms, and aunts.

Through this process I realized I was missing out on my passions in design, and had a new realization of my untapped creative spirit -- and with that, “lujitos” was born.

pronunciation:

“lujitos” is a play on words combining the Spanish word “lujo” meaning luxury, with the suffix ending “-itos” to signify “little luxuries” in an informal slang context.

When I think about my favorite memories, purchases, or things to do, it’s often tied to the concept of “the little things”

...and every now and then, little luxuries :)

With our product categories, I'm excited to mix my preppy taste, and design prowess with my love of illustrating my favorite things, and places.

I infuse my products with my industry expertise as a seasoned women’s apparel designer (my day job) and explore my local creativity, devotion, and a touch of wanderlust.
